Questions

Common questions.

Named seats, billed per user per month. Term, seat count, and setup are agreed in the order.

What is the difference between Enterprise platform and Professional services?

Enterprise platform is for teams running change on their own estate: named seats, organizational memory, Software factory, the SDLC loop, and a dedicated environment. Professional services is for practices delivering client work: named seats, unlimited AI usage under fair use, and each connected client environment licensed separately. Both include two dedicated resources and a named account executive.

How is a seat billed?

Per named user, per month. There is no per-token metering and no usage true-up. Term, seat count, and the one-time setup fee are agreed in the order.

What does a named seat include?

A named person on the platform. On Enterprise platform that includes organizational memory, Software factory, the SDLC loop, and evidence on the change. On Professional services that includes unlimited AI usage under fair use.

Is AI usage metered?

No. There is no per-token metering and no consumption billing. Professional services includes unlimited AI usage under a fair use policy.

What does the one-time setup cover?

A dedicated, single-tenant environment, the secure connection, and initial configuration. On Professional services, setup is once per connected client environment.

We work across several client instances. How does that license?

Each connected client environment is licensed separately.

Can we start with a value proof?

Yes. A 6–8 week value proof on one high-friction workflow: Baseline, Configure, Run, Prove.

Do we install anything on ServiceNow?

No. Nothing is installed into the instance. GeneWorks connects over authenticated REST APIs. No scoped application, no MID Server, and no extra ServiceNow plugins for core operation.

Can GeneWorks change production without approval?

No. Two human gates cannot be switched off: design review before build, and evidence review before release. Changes leave as scoped update sets on your existing promotion path.

Where does our data run?

A managed, single-tenant environment on AWS, one per client instance. Your instance data stays in your instance. Encryption keys stay in your KMS. Production business records are not copied in full.

Do we need ServiceNow's ATF CloudRunner?

No. GeneWorks runs ATF on its own runner. Functional tests against the live UI are included.

Does it work on a sub-production or developer instance?

Yes. Production, sub-production, and personal developer instances with REST API access.

Is on-premise available?

Not as the standard offering. A dedicated arrangement can be discussed where regulation requires it.
